As Local Insurance Broker Grows, Their Commitment to the Jamestown Community Grows Even Stronger with Kallie’s Krusade
In the beginning of 2019, Lawley was excited to announce a new joint venture with the nearly 100-year-old local insurance agency in Jamestown, NY — Rhoe B. Henderson. Over the course of the year, the Lawley-Rhoe B. Henderson team has been excited about the new services they are able to offer, including employee benefits, Medicare, construction insurance & bonds, etc. However, beyond the new services, the team in Jamestown is more deeply connected and committed to their community than ever before.
“The partnership with Lawley is a way to give our clients the services they deserve. The insurance industry is changing everyday and it is important to grow, or you face not being able to protect your clients from risk. The way we structured our joint venture with Lawley means that we are able to provide these services, while still remaining locally operated in the Jamestown community. And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way,” says Rhoe B. Henderson.
“We’re based in Chautauqua County, so nothing makes us happier than working with Rhoe and the team he built in Jamestown. They are happy to provide their community with the growing services offered by Lawley with the same customer service they have grown to expect from that team,” says Lawley Tradition Partner, Wally Gotowka. Lawley Tradition is located in Dunkirk, NY.
Most recently, Lawley-Rhoe B. Henderson was happy to host the executive team from Kallie’s Krusade, a nonprofit based out of Jamestown, NY with a very important mission: “fight like a girl” against pediatric cancer and other childhood illnesses. The team at Kallie’s works to help families whose children are undergoing treatment and cancer diagnoses by providing them places to stay at no cost, reimbursement for medical equipment, and so much more.
The reason for the event at Lawley-Rhoe B. Henderson was to give Kallie’s Krusade a donation to support their mission. Donations were collected all year as part of a referral program put on by the office. If any existing client were to refer a friend or family member to the agency, Lawley-Rhoe B. Henderson would donate $5 to Kallie’s Krusade. In total, the referral program, along with other programs like donating $2 for casual days on Friday and personal contributions, was able to raise $1,115 for Kallie’s Krusade.
“We can’t thank Lawley-Rhoe B. Henderson enough!” said Tara Swan, Director of Kallie’s Krusade and mother to Kallie Swan, whose battle against childhood cancer inspired her family to start the nonprofit. “Donations like this help us on our mission to provide for families going through what we went through. We are proud to work with local organizations like this one, who care about the community and are dedicated to making a difference.”
All of the members of Lawley-Rhoe B. Henderson have agreed to again support Kallie’s Krusade in 2020 with their referral program.
ABOUT KALLIE’S KRUSADE
Kallie’s Krusade is a community effort to “fight like a girl” against pediatric cancer and other childhood illnesses. We will support the fighters, admire the survivors, honor the taken, and never, ever give up hope. In addition, Kallie’s Krusade will strive to raise awareness of childhood cancer, a tragedy that affects 1 to 2 children out of 10,000 every year in the United States and can affect any family at any time. No parent wants to see his or her child suffering at the age of 30, let alone the age of 2.
