HERO Act Plan effective 9-6-21

On September 6, 2021 the NY State Commissioner of Health designated COVID-19 a highly contagious communicable disease that presents a serious risk of harm to the public health under New York State’s HERO Act. This designation requires all covered employers to now implement their Airborne Infectious Disease Exposure Prevention Plan as required per the HERO Act.

In general, employers are required to review and update their existing plans, verbally review these plans with all employees, provide a copy of the plan to all employees, post the plan in a visible and prominent location, and add the plan to an existing employee handbook.
