Experience:

With 40+ years of pharmacy expertise, John serves as a trusted advisor and works with each client to provide the best-customized plan option to meet the client’s employee benefit needs. By creating dynamic relationships, John acts as a liaison between his clients and carriers. Prior to Lawley, John was an independent pharmacy owner and worked for the pharmacy of Wegmans Food Markets Inc. for 30+ years. At Wegmans, John held the roles of senior vice president of pharmacy, pharmacy manager in the Buffalo and Rochester markets, pharmacy student preceptor, pharmacy operations director, and managed care director. As senior vice president, he led Wegmans Pharmacy to be recognized by J.D. Power as the No. 1 Pharmacy in America.

Education:

John earned his bachelor of science degree from the Northeastern University School of Pharmacy.

Honors:

In 2019, John was the recipient of the PSR Pharmacist of the Year award and received the Bernie Greenberg Pharmacy Partnership award from IQVIA (formerly Quintiles and IMS Health, Inc.).

Community and Pro Bono:

John was the president of the Pharmacists Association of Western New York (PAWNY) and the chairman and an executive committee member of the New York State Board of Pharmacy. He was also the regional representative of the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York (PSSNY), a member of the Pharmacy Society of Rochester (PSR), and a member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. John currently serves on the dean’s advisory committee for St. John Fisher University Wegmans School of Pharmacy.
