With Lawley’s growing footprint, we are adding an experienced Claims Consultant to our dynamic team and are looking for someone with consultative Commercial Claims experience.
Fundamental Components of the Job:
These are the fundamental components of the job:
- First reporting of claims, extending full courtesy and help to clients and third-party claimants
- In-depth knowledge of Commercial Lines policies to accurately be able to assess current coverages
- Reviewing coverage denials to determine the exclusions are appropriate and negotiating favorable resolutions with the carrier and the client
- Responsible for reviewing accounts and recommending appropriate coverage to account manager
- Accountable for evaluation of reserves and contesting with Carriers when reserve reductions are required
- Conducting open claim reviews/open claim diaries to insure proper handling or settlement
Other functions of the job:
- Expand and grow in your role when supporting miscellaneous duties as requested
Skills/Traits That We Value for This Role:

- 3-5 years of Claims experience
- Relevant knowledge of commercial lines claims adjustment and evaluation process
- Microsoft Office experience and skills are a must; EPIC experience preferred
- Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently and on a team
- Property/Casualty license and/or claims-related designation preferred
- Open to continuing education, Associate degree or higher preferred
- Positive attitude, even in a fast-paced environment
- A passion to make customers and coworkers feel important and valued
- Capability to work quickly and efficiently
- Methodical, yet swift decision-making skills
- Precise verbal and written communication skills, even under time constraints

The compensation range for this position takes many factors into consideration including but not limited to: years of experience/training, skill set, and licenses/designations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for a position as circumstances and location can vary in every hiring situation.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $51,498.15 to $85,830.25.
