Lawley and Georgetown Capital Form Partnership
WNY’s Largest Regional Insurance & Employee Benefits Broker Creates Partnership with Wealth Management Firm, Georgetown Capital
BUFFALO, N.Y. (January 12, 2021) | Lawley, a top U.S. independent insurance broker according to Business Insurance, created a partnership with Georgetown Capital, a financial services and wealth management firm located in Williamsville, NY. The new venture will officially be known as Georgetown Lawley Group, LLC.
The partnership was cemented after many months of discussions between Lawley Principal, Christopher Ross and Georgetown Capital President, Joseph Curatolo.
“Lawley strives to be a comprehensive one-stop-shop for our clients. Working with businesses and individuals, it made sense to find a financial and wealth management partner to help protect and invest our clients’ assets. Georgetown Capital is that partner,” says Ross.
Georgetown Capital was founded in 1987 with a fundamental mission: give investors independent financial advice, without ties to a national chain-store brokerage firm with cookie cutter recommendations and a corporate agenda. Partnering with Lawley furthers that mission.
“Lawley is a family-owned, independent insurance brokerage with values that mirror our own. We are excited to grow and merge with Lawley, while upholding the standards upon which we were founded. Our goals are to continue to deliver unprecedented levels of personalized service with a holistic approach to managing our current and new clients’ financial futures,” says Curatolo.
This will not be Lawley’s first venture into the world of finance as they already have a retirement division. Lawley Retirement Advisors acts as a fiduciary for clients, designing comprehensive retirement plans for employers. Bringing in a financial management partner will add value to the relationships already established with Lawley Retirement Advisors’ clients.
“A big part of our strategy is employee education, financial wellness, and independent investment advice. With Georgetown as our partner, we will be able to align the goals of our clients with the goals of their associates. Together, our mission is to provide custom solutions to help our mutual clients grow, succeed, and achieve,” says James J. Rehak, Jr., Managing Director and Partner of Lawley Retirement Advisors.
Georgetown Lawley Group, LLC will formally begin their partnership in January 2022.
