Despite the current pandemic, the associates at Lawley are finding ways to serve clients with passion and continue to deepen their knowledge of insurance. In partnership with Hanover and the Professional Insurance Agents of New York (PIA), Lawley was able to hold a virtual Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation course, the first ever agency in-house program in the country! On May 5-8th, 53 Lawley Associates embarked on a 16 hour learning endeavor that is one of the highest difficulty level courses available in the industry. The CIC requires taking and passing rigorous exams for 5 core courses.

Lawley encourages participation in the CIC program because of the benefits to the clients. It provides practical, real-world information that provides best-in-class knowledge and best-in-class protection. It informs associates based on a well-designed and thorough profile of complex exposures and coverage remedies. Finally, it deepens Lawley’s associates’ knowledge of current approaches in both personal and commercial lines.

Lawley was enabled to host the CIC: Insurance Company Operations program in part to having a National Alliance instructor on staff! Duane DiPirro served as an Education Consultant for Lawley’s CIC program, and is a Senior Account Executive at Lawley. Duane’s role at Lawley is the proactive day-to-day management of Lawley’s key commercial property/casualty accounts. He primarily works on accounts serviced by the agency’s principals. Duane has extensive experience in the insurance field, in-depth knowledge of coverages and serviced large multi-national accounts.

Currently, 26 associates at Lawley maintain their CIC designation, and with this in-house programming, the agency is on the way to double that number in the next 5 years. Earning this designation will enable even higher level of service to our clients and prepare Lawley’s team with the deepest understanding of how to navigate complex accounts. Education of Lawley’s associates is part of the culture. It is also an imperative component of Lawley’s ability to lead the industry in comprehensive, expert service.
