Lawley Teams in Buffalo and Rochester Participate in the 2019 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge
In Buffalo and Rochester, Lawley teams laced up for the 2019 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. The one of a kind global event is comprised of races held in 13 cities, located in 7 countries, across 5 continents annually. Each race is a 3.5 mile long “celebration of teamwork, camaraderie, and community.” In each host city, a local charity receives a donation. This year, the downtown Rochester event benefited the United Way and Buffalo’s Delaware Park event benefited the Beverly Gray Business Exchange Center.
For Lawley, the event also serves as a fun tool for health and fitness promotion aligning with the Lawley core values and their “Work Hard, Play Hard” motto. “We look forward to this event each and every year,” said Bill Lawley. “It’s a perfect blend of goodwill, community spirit, and competition. Everyone always has a blast.”
Lawley’s Rochester Team raced on June 4, 2019. Their top two finishers were Heidi Kane with a time of 32:59 and Tom Costanzo with a time of 34:19. The Buffalo Team raced on June 13, 2019. Tara McPherson and Matt Piegay led the crew with times of 26:21 and 28:24 respectively.
